KOCHI: In recognition of his endeavour to promote K L Saigal’s songs in India and abroad, P Parameswaran Nair aka Kerala Saigal will be honoured by the residential and socio-cultural organisations in Panampilly Nagar on January 16.

T K A Nair, principal secretary to the Prime Minsiter of India will be the chief guest at the function.

Education Minister M A Baby, Dominic Presentation MLA, Commodore M Jithendran, chairman and managing director of Cochin Shipyard, P C Cyriac and K M Roy will offer felicitations.

The function at Central Park which will commence at 6 pm will be also have Nair singing the best of Saigal’s songs. Nair will be accompanied by P Bhagavatheeswara Iyer on the harmonium and Rajesh on the tabla. Upcoming playback singer Parvathy Soman will render ghazals accompanied by Sreenadam orchestra.
