KOCHI: The adolescent mobile clinic of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) aimed at helping children find a solution to the problems being encountered by them was inaugurated by District Collector Dr M Beena.

The mobile clinic will visit all parts of Ernakulam district to offer counselling to the children.

The clinic, having a doctor, a nurse and a counsellor, was flagged off at Ernakulam Girls Higher Secondary School.

District Hospital superintendent Dr M I Junaid Rahman presided over the function.

A training camp covering 102 schools in the district was opened by Deputy Mayor Bhadra Satheesh.

The programme is being conducted by the district administration in association with the NRHM, Education and Social Welfare departments, Childline, and Mythri.

The District Collector distributed school kits to the children.

NRHM district programme manager Dr K V Beena, Education deputy director Anila George, Childline Nodal Agency director Dr Mary Venus Joseph, Childline Collab director Fr Antony, RCH officer Dr A Parvathy and Ernakulam Girls Higher Secondary School headmistress K D Shailaja were present in the function.
