Exhibition for differently-abled

ThePeople’s Council for Social Justice (PCSJ), Kochi, Business Community Foundation,and Ernaklulam Karayogam will be holding the ‘Abilities Mela’ on November 16and 17 at the TDM Hall, Kochi.
 It will be inaugurated by Justice Harun-Ul-RasheedT.I., of the High Court of Kerala.
 At this exhibition, differently- abledpeople from organisations like Snehanilayam, Raksha, Shilpa Society, Adarsh, Ashadeepamand Mesh from Hyderabad will participate.
 “In total, there are 25 institutions whichwill take part,” says Bitty Joseph, project manager of PCSJ.
 The differently abled people includethose who suffer from Down’s Syndrome, mental retardation, and the like.
 The items on sale are paper bags,candles, pickles, coasters, notebooks, files, Christmas decorations, pen stands,flower vases, hand painted pots and fancy and utility items.
 “We want companies to come and have alook, so that they can include these organisations in their Corporate SocialResponsibility schemes,” says Bitty.
More time for script festival entries
Thelast date for entries for the SCRIPT International Film Festival has beenextended to November 30, on popular demand.
 SCRIPT stands for Social and CorporateResponsibility International Promotional Theatre.
 The list of selected films will bepublished on the official website on Dec 25, 2012.
 The two-day festival will begin onFebruary 8, at Fidelity Theatre, IMA Hall, Kochi.
