The South Korean consumer electronics giant recently launched a camera in India named Samsung Galaxy Camera which is powered with Android 4.1Jelly Bean mobile operating system.

This smart camera weighing just 300 grams is basically a marriage of a digital camera with a smartphone. The camera which offers almost all the functions of a mobile phone like a large screen, 3G and WiFi connectivity but unfortunately can’t be used as a calling device. It has a 16.3 megapixel image sensor with Xenon Flash and auto focus. Adding to the features is a 23mm lens which supports smile as well as face detection. This new Samsung Galaxy Camera GC100 also features a 4.8-inch Super Clear touch display with 1280×720 pixel resolution to see the preview of the photos. The screen has been made using the Corning Gorilla Glass 2 technology for providing more strength and resistance from the usual scratches.

Another highlight of the camera is that, it offers 21x super long zoom and has a feature to record slow motion videos as well. The company has packed a quad-core 1.4 GHz Samsung Exynos 4412 mobile processor with Mali-400MP graphics chip and has 1 GB RAM to ensure the smooth running.

While using this camera, one has the liberty to take vivid high quality pictures and videos wherever and whenever they wish and enables them to share instantly those images on any of their favorite social networks. The camera also offers image stabilisation.

Galaxy Camera packs 1650 mAh battery that offers battery life of 4.5 hours. The company is also offering spare battery as an offer together with every camera purchase. Another exciting feature of the camera is that, it offers access to 600,000 apps currently available on Google Play. The price of the camera is ` 29,900.
