The silver jubilee celebration of the Cochin Special Economic Zone (CSEZ), organised by the Export Processing Zone Industries Association (CEPZIA), will be held on December 27.
Former president A P J Abdul Kalam will inaugurate the silver jubilee celebration, said CEPZIA office- bearers at a press conference held here on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will preside over the function.
Union Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies K V Thomas, Industries Minister P K Kunjalikutty, Benny Behanan MLA, CSEZ development commissioner Safeena A N and District Collector Sheikh Pareeth will attend the function.
Officers who have served as development commissioner of CSEZ will be honoured at the function. A souvenir will also be released.
The inaugural function will be followed by a business session, in which foreign delegates and Indian entrepreneurs will participate.
T P Sreenivasan, Former Indian Ambassador to the US, Varma and Varma managing partner Venugopal C Govind, Technopark CEO K G Gireesh Babu and Eastern Group chairman Navaz Meeran will speak at the business session.
‘’Though the celebration is organised mainly to mark the silver jubilee of CSEZ, the largest export-oriented industrial cluster in Kerala, we intent to send across the message that Kerala is an investment-friendly state, ‘’ said CEPZIA president K K Pillai.
