Govind S Shankar Tops Space Olympiad

Govind S Shankar of Bhavans Varuna Vidyalaya, Thrikkakkara, emerged  winners at the National Space Olympiad organised by The Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics Resource Centre (IUCAA Resource Centre), Department of Physics, Cochin University of Science and Technology.

S Harikrishnan of Government Higher Secondary School, Valayanchirangara and K E Ajayakrishnan of Bhavans Vidyamandir, Iringalakkuda, shared second prize while Johan Cheriyan of Indian School, Muscat won the third place. S Aswin  of Government Higher Secondary School, Koyilandi and Richard Sibi of St Kuriakose Public School were adjudged fourth and fifth, respectively.

Cusat vice chancellor (in charge) K Poulose Jacob presented Newtonian  Reflecting Telescope to Govind S Shankar at the valedictory function. Registrar in - charge K Sajan presided over the function. Godfrey Louis, coordinator, Mithul Christopher, Jayaraman, Tharanath and T P Anurag Mohanan spoke.
