DMRC Begins Clean-up Drive

KOCHI: As part of the nationwide ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ that was launched on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC)- Kochi office, carried out a cleanliness drive the other day. The cleaning campaign included the clearing of the thick vegetation and bushes surrounding the office, sprucing up of site offices and the work site of the Kochi Metro Rail.

The entire barricades were cleaned at the Metro work site between Aluva and Maharaja’s College and on the S A Road. “The dust and sand which had accumulated outside the barricades along the Metro alignment will also be removed in the coming days. The scrap and waste material lying at the work site were cleared and an oath was taken by the officers and staff of the DMRC pledging the involvement of all the staff in the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ for a clean city,” the official spokesperson of DMRC said.
