KOCHI: Muthoot Pappachan Foundation, the CSR arm of Muthoot Pappachan group, has joined hands with Operation Smile India, a non-profit medical charity organisation, for providing free cleft lip surgeries for children.
People can register their names at phone no 9388221062 and online registrations if any can be made at lifeblood@muthoot.com.
The screening panel would consist of experts comprising plastic surgeon, anaesthesiologist, paediatrician, dentist and speech therapist. Based on their observations, the final list of those eligible for surgery will be announced. The surgeries will be held from October 14 to 18. The mission is being organised by Operation Smile India and the expense for the surgeries will be sponsored by Muthoot Pappachan Foundation.
The foundation will spread awareness and sponsor free surgeries for 350 children suffering from cleft lip. In the initial phase, free surgeries will be sponsored for 300 children at the Richardson Dental and Craniofacial Hospital in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu and 50 children at Muthoot Life Brigade Hospital in Kottayam, Kerala.
Actor Dileep has extended support for the programme.
