KOCHI: Popular actor Muktha tied knot here on Sunday with Rinku Tomy at St George Syro-Malabar catholic Forane Church in Edappally. Rinku, who runs an event management company in Kochi is the brother of popular singer Rimy Tomy.

Muktha Elsa George, popularly known as Muktha, is the daughter of George and Sali, natives of Kothamangalam.  After becoming popular through Kerala Kalotsavam, Muktha had anchored some television shows before entering film field through Otta Nanayam. She became popular with Lal Joses Achanurangatha Veedu and Kamal’s Goal. Her Tamil debut, Thamirabharani too was a commercial success. The other popular films of Muktha in Malayalam include Nasrani, Haylesa, Kancheepurathe Kalyanam and Immanuel.

She has also acted in Telegu and Kannada movies. Meanwhile Rinku, who is running the event management group, is managing most of the stage shows by Rimy Tomy.  The marriage ceremony was also noted for the traditional dressing style chose by the couple, Muktha in Chattayum Mundum and Rinku in Dhothi and Shirt.

The traditional margam kali too was performed after the marriage Muktha is acting in Tamil movies under the name Bhanu.
