Pre-union Budget Discussion at IIMK

KOCHI:  IIM Kozhikode’s (IIMK) campus in Kochi will be conducting a pre-union budget 2015 panel discussion on ‘Second Generation Reforms’ at the campus in Infopark on Friday.

The panel will have participants from senior economists and eminent public policy experts like Pulapre Balakrishnan, economist and educationalist, former director of CDS and professor at IIMK, Govind Rao, director, Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore, Economic Adviser to the Finance Commission, Government of India, K P Padmakumar, executive director of Muthoot Group,  Venugopal C Govind, chartered accountant and managing partner of  Varma & Varma, M P Sukumaran Nair, director, Centre for Green Technology & Management (CGTM), Kochi and Central Railside Warehouse Company (CRWC) Ltd.

Panel discussion will be on: Make in India or Make for India-Any Incentives to Domestic Savings will benefit poor and needy in the society, Second Green Revolution Or Organic Green Revolution-Any Impetus to Agriculture?,  Sabke Saath Sabka Vikas or Sustainable Vikas- What to do for Streamlining of subsidies, and social spending to address the issues of needy? How the budget exploits the positive global trends? etc will be discussed at the discussion.
