Kids Get a Glimpse of Naval Aero Tech

Kochi: As many as 100 children, including boys and girls of Don Bosco Snehabhavan, Fort Kochi and Valsalya Bhavan, Ponnurunny, got an opportunity to visit the Naval Institute of Aeronautical Technology (NIAT) the other day.

The visit was organised by the Southern Naval Command as part of the community outreach activities.

The children were shown around and explained the various models of aircraft and aero-engines. The Naval authorities also arranged  entertainment programmes such as magic show and other cultural programmes.

The group of children, accompanied by fifteen staff members including Don Bosco Valsalya Bhavan in-charge Sr Mary Francis,  Fr P Varghese were received at NIAT by its director  Commodore Sanjeev Dureja and his team, who also hosted lunch for the visitors.

A team from NIAT had visited Valsalya Bhavan on the previous day and conducted social service activities. Some telegames were conducted for the children while they presented cultural programme for the visiting delegation.

Sabari Enters Mattress Biz

Punarnava Included  Under CGHS Scheme

Kochi: The Punarnava Ayurveda Hospital, Edappally, has been empanelled under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) which offer cashless treatment for Central Govt servants.

All kind of ayurvedic treatments are available here to CGHS beneficiaries from now as per the reimbursement norms, a release said here.

Naval Med Camp

Kochi: A health training-cum-medicare drive was organised by the Southern Naval Command, Kochi at Minicoy, Kalpeni, Androth and Kavaratti islands of Lakshadweep from October 27 to 30.

The drive was conducted by a team comprising of 10 specialist medical officers, a nursing officer and 12 medical assistants from  Naval Hospital INHS Sanjivani.
