KOCHI: Lisie Hospital, in association with the Heart Care Foundation, on Sunday organised ‘Hrudayasangamam,’ a meeting of persons who underwent cardiac surgery at the hospital.More than 500 persons, comprising patients who underwent heart surgery and their relatives, participated in the programme.
The event was inaugurated by PSC chairman Dr K S Radhakrishnan. At the function, the award instituted by the Heart Care Foundation for social services was presented to prominent businessman and Eraam Group managing director Dr Siddhique Ahammed.
On the occasion, Mathew Achadan of Chalakkudy and Krishnakumar of Irinjalakuda, who had undergone heart transplant surgery, were felicitated. Dr Jabil Abdullakkutty conducted a class on heart diseases, and Dr Anu Joseph delivered a lecture on the precautions to be taken and eating habits to be followed to keep heart diseases away. Dr Jose Chacko delivered the welcome address at the function, which was presided over by Fr Thomas Vaikkathuparambil.Dr Rony Mathew Kadavil, Dr jacob Abraham and Raju Kannambuzha also spoke. Dr Bhaskar Ranganathan, Dr Jacob Joseph, Dr T K Joseph and Dr Dani Jose led the question-answer session.
