KOCHI: Kerala’s own diamond jewellery brand Sunny Diamonds, the only diamond jewellery manufacturer and the biggest retail chain for diamond jewellery in the State, opened its online store on January 1.
The shopping site (www.sunnydiamonds.com) was inaugurated by Kris Gopalakrishnan, one of the cofounders of Infosys who is currently serving as executive vice-chairman of the firm, by purchasing diamond jewellery for his wife. The jewellery was delivered within a few hours of the purchase.
“The prime attraction of Sunny Diamonds online store is that it offers up to
30 per cent discount to customers, which is much higher than the rebates offered by the other major online diamond stores,” said Sunny Diamonds managing director and chief executive officer P P Sunny.
“It is the first time in the country that an online diamond jewellery store is displaying actual photographs of the items it intends to sell. The USP of the store is that ‘each diamond jewellery is exclusively for one customer,” said Sunny.
When a customer buys a particular jewellery item, its photograph is removed from the shopping site. So, no second customer will get a chance to order the same piece. The online store also offers the unique facility of allowing customers to see the jewellery before they buy them.
“Customers in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka will receive the merchandise within 24 hours of placing the order. Delivery in the other states and abroad shall be made within 3-5 business days,” he added.
