Cocon X-2017: Kerala Police’s two-day International Information Security Conference kicks off today

Cocon X-2017, the 10th edition of Kerala Police’s two-day International Information Security Conference will kick off at Hotel Le Meridian from Friday. 

KOCHI: Cocon X-2017, the 10th edition of Kerala Police’s two-day International Information Security Conference will kick off at Hotel Le Meridian from Friday. The Information Security Research Association-India Chapter and POLCYB (Society for Policing of Cyberspace) have partnered with the Kerala Police for organising the event which aims at providing a platform to discuss, showcase, educate, understand and spread awareness on the latest trends in information, cyber and hi-tech crimes. It will also facilitate discussions and sharing of new information and latest trends in cyber crimes across the world, said the organisers. 

This year, Cocon-X will have an added attraction, ‘Kid Glove’, which is an awareness initiative launched in 2015. Aruna Sundarajan, secretary, Department of Telecommunication, will inaugurate the conference at 10 am. DGP Loknath Behera,  who is the chairman of Cocon-X organising committee, will preside over the inaugural and closing sessions.
