KOCHI: Government HSS North Paravoor scripted history in the Chavittunadakam competition in the HSS category by emerging winners for the second straight time. They had made it to the State School Fest after dethroning traditional Chavittunatakam powerhouses Gothuruthy St Sebastian’s HSS.
Though North Paravoor put on a compelling performance in the 30th edition of the revenue fest they made the entry with the help of an appeal in the sub-district festival. In the last years, North Paravoor had also bagged A grade in the state level competition.
“ It was bad judgement which forced us to seek the help of appeal but today we could prove we are the real winners of the competition. Though it was a tough fight with Gothuruthy, we could come out with a better performance,” said Roy George Kutty who has been training the team for the last three years.
However, North Paravoor couldn’t repeat their success story in the High School category as they bowed to the experience of St Sebastian HSS, Gothurthy. While three teams competed in the high school category, four-teams participated in the higher secondary section.
