KOCHI: The Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) Budget (2017-18) focuses on developing infrastructure and on easing traffic chaos via new roads and decongest existing roads by widening them.
The major projects for which funds have been allocated include the Pachalam-Mamangalam Road, the Puthencruz township project, the TP Canal renovation, the Ambedkar Stadium ring road, the Rameswaram housing scheme, a housing scheme for slum dwellers, a shopping complex at Kakkanad, besides women’s hostels, multi-storey shopping complexes with office spaces and film screens at ideal locations.
