St Xavier’s College for Women​ chosen for British Council event

The St Xavier’s College for Women, Aluva, was among the 11 institutions in the country selected for an ‘Active Citizens Programme’ organised by the British Council in collaboration with the Rajiv

KOCHI: The St Xavier’s College for Women, Aluva, was among the 11 institutions in the country selected for an ‘Active Citizens Programme’ organised by the British Council in collaboration with the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu.

Two National Service Scheme programme officers of the college, Resmi Varghese and Asmy Antony K A, attended the five-day ‘India Pilot: Facilitator Development Workshop’ at RGNIYD. Around 30 NSS volunteers of the college were trained as ‘Active Citizens’ in a five-day workshop at the college. 


The Global Active Citizens is a flagship programme of the British Council which connects organisations and people working around the globe to bring a difference in their community.
