The court on Thursday dismissed bail petitions filed by two persons accused in the Kanakamala IS meeting case.

KOCHI: The court on Thursday dismissed bail petitions filed by two persons accused in the Kanakamala IS meeting case.   Jasim N K and Ramshad Nageelan Kandiyil, both natives of Kuttiady in Kozhikode, were denied bail by the NIA Court, Ernakulam.

NIA prosecutor Arjun Ambalapatta said grating bail to the accused would affect the investigation as they had committed very serious crime, including waging war against the country.   The court dismissed the petition considering the gravity of the offence.

Meanwhile, Mouinudheen Parakadavath, who was arrested from Abu Dhabi in connection with the terror case, was produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
