KOCHI: From international figures like Maria Sharapova and Donald Trump to Indian celebrities like Mohanlal, many have felt the heat of the trolling by Malayalees on social networking sites.
The latest victim is Youth Congress State president Dean Kuriakose who shared the news on the protest planned by Youth Congress against the screening of other language movies including Vijay-starter 'Bhairava' which are scheduled for a release at a time when cinema theater owners are not ready to screen Malayalam films.
Soon after the Youth Congress leader shared the post on Wednesday, the fans of actor Vijay, whose new movie Bhairava is all set to hit screens next week, reacted sharply against him on the Facebook. "Before coming to stop a Vijay film's screening in Kerala, you should make necessary arrangements for your burial" reads a threatening post.
Vijay is one of the Tamil actors who has a huge fan following in Kerala. Some others posted Dena's number and asked others to "deal" with him. They also posted that Vijay is Kerala's adopted son and threatened that they are also Congress workers and if any move was made from the Youth Congress' side to interrupt the screening, they will leave the party.
