KOCHI: The Elamakkara police have arrested a Coimbatore-native who had been troubling the police and Fire and Rescue Services by making prank calls of accidents and crime. Ebenezer, 47, was arrested from Singallur near Coimbatore after police tracked the location of his mobile phone.
The Fire and Rescue Service had lodged a complaint with the police on the frequent prank calls. “Ebenezer was in Kochi for a few years. Therefore he knows almost all places in the city. He used to call Fire and Rescue Services to alert on fire in the city. Once he called Elamakkara police station and alerted a person was hacked to death. He used to call from different numbers,” police said.
