KOCHI: Opposing the petition seeking CBI probe into seven political murders involving CPM activists, the state government on Thursday submitted before the Kerala High Court there was a calculated effort to malign the LDF Government.“It is clear the petition by Adiyodi Vakkeel Smaraka Trust of Kannur, was politically motivated to ventilate political grievances,” the affidavit stated.

The complaints against the investigation in some of the crimes had been addressed properly and appropriate actions were taken to conduct the probe in a proper and impartial manner, it stated.
