New traffic diversion plan at Kakkanad
KOCHI: Considering the heavy traffic congestion at the Collectorate junction and signal at Kakkanad, the City Traffic Police will bring in a new traffic diversion plan from Friday. Those vehicles coming from Pallikkara, Edachira and Infopark areas and going towards Kalamassery will have to take a deviation from IMG junction to reach Pattupurackal junction to enter Seaport Airport Road.
From Seaport Airport Road, the vehicles should turn right while those vehicles going to Vazhakkala, Palarivattom and Ernakulam side should take left turn to reach the Kakkanad Signal and turn right to reach Vazhakkala. Those vehicles going to Alappatt Road can take a U turn from here.
The vehicles going to Tripunithura from Pallikkara, Edachira and Infopark areas should enter KCRA Lane No.5 Road to reach the Seaport Airport Road.
The vehicles coming from Seaport Airport Road and going to the civil station can use the free left at the junction to reach the main gate of the civil station. The vehicles coming from Vazhakkala side and going to Tripunithura-Cochin Special Economic Zone area should use the free left at the signal junction and then make a U turn to reach Tripunithura.
