Government will not encourage private education institutions: Electricity Minister M M Mani

According to Mani, the government targets the strengthening of public education sector from primary to higher education level in the state. The government will not encourage private education.

KOCHI: Electricity Minister M M Mani on Saturday said the government is promoting public sector education system and it will not sanction private sector educational institutes any further. He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating hi-tech anganwadis under Pampakuda Block Panchayat.

According to Mani, the government targets the strengthening of public education sector from primary to higher education level in the state. The government will not encourage private education institutes to promote public sector educational organisations in Kerala. The modernisation of the public sector school and educational institutions is a prime focus of the government.

By raising the quality of the government-backed educational institutions, they can easily compete with private sector educational institutions.
Eldho Abraham MLA also reiterated the importance of public sector educational institutions in the state. He claimed government-supported institutes help in the development of the society.
