KOCHI: The Kerala Water Authority (KWA) office, which is functioning in a rented building in Kaloor will soon have an office of its own.
The office, which caters to the needs of residents of Kaloor, Elamakkara, Pulleppady, Vaduthala, Cheranelloor and Kadamakkudi areas, is functioning in temporary buildings with limited infrastructure.
The new building will be constructed with the help of Rs 1.10 crore from Hibi Eden's MLA fund. As per the plan, a two-storeyed building spanning 4,000 sq ft will be constructed.
The Water Authority Works Division and Revenue division will function in this office. The new building will come up in the vacant corner at Water Authority quarters in Kaloor.
