Trivandrum Photographers Forum photo expo concludes

KOCHI: The four-day photography exhibition organised by the Trivandrum Photographers Forum (TPF) came to a close at the Museum on Sunday. The works on display covered myriad themes like landscape, wildlife, portraits, sports, festivals, art and culture.

More than 100 photographs from all over the state were selected from 500 entries by a panel of experts headed by former TPF president Biju Joswin. This was the second photography exhibition organised by TPF.

TPF’s first attempt to organise such an exhibition began in 2016 with 12 members. Today, it is a registered organisation with more than 150 members comprising people of all age groups. The forum aims to provide an arena for novices and amateur photographers who are passionate about photography to polish their skills. This is made possible through workshops, ‘photo walks’ and seminars.

The exhibition was conducted to encourage amateur photographers. Recently, TPF had also organised a workshop on lighting technique which was led by well-known photographer Aseem Komachi. The exhibition was inaugurated by well-known wildlife photographer Balan Madhavan on Thursday.
