Ayurstart 2018: CII announces startup contest

KOCHI:In order to promote and expand the `2,500 crore Kerala ayurveda medicinal and therapeutic industry, the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) announced on Tuesday the commencement of a start-up contest. Titled Ayurstart 2018, the event will be part of the National Ayurveda Startup Conclave The contest is open to all college-going students and young working professionals across the country who are invited to submit a one-page project summary of their idea by July 15. The 30 shortlisted teams will be asked to present their project ideas before a panel on August 30, which will then shortlist 10 teams that will go on to attend the Startup Conclave.

The top 10 teams will receive a chance to be mentored by top CEOs and entrepreneurs from the industry, excellent networking opportunity, incubation facilities and cash prizes. Aspirants can register by paying `1,000 at www.ciiayurstart.com.
