Fraud job racket busted; four held

KOCHI: The Ernakulam Rural police arrested four persons, including a Ghana national, on charges of allegedly cheating a woman doctor at Piravom by offering her a job at a French hospital. Acting on a tip-off, a police team arrested the four accused, including a Ghana national. from their hideout in Bengaluru.
As per the complaint, the accused duped Rs 11.5 lakh from the victim by offering her a job at the Holy Aasim Multi Speciality Hospital in France.

The complainant, currently working in Mumbai, was given a forged French visa and the gate pass to the French Embassy. Women tele-callers, posing as hospital staff frequently called her, to gain her trust. The fraud came to light when the victim approached the French Embassy in using the forged gate pass. Following this, a complaint was lodged with the Piravom police.
