KOCHI: The Kochi city police on Tuesday arrested a 27-year-old in connection with the killing of a private security officer in the city the other day. According to the officers, the arrested is Jose J, a native of Thiruvananthapuram.
The case pertains to the death of Jayaprasad, 48, a native of Pathanamthitta. According to the officers, the accused, who had also worked with the deceased at a restaurant in DS Road, picked up an argument with him. As the argument intensified, the duo entered into a fight and following a hit, Jayaprasad fell on the floor. "The deceased sustained a deep injury on his head and was rushed to a hospital.
He, however, succumbed to the injury," said an officer with the Ernakulam central police.
