The Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has hailed the verdict of the Kerala High Court setting aside the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF) director and the Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samiti, which granted exclusive rights to the samiti for printing and distributing GKSF coupons.

“The issuing of prize coupons and other related works in connection with the GKSF should be carried out in the most transparent manner, after holding discussions with all the stakeholders,” said KCCI chairman K N Marzook.

“The KCCI had been extending full support to the GKSF right from the beginning,” Marzook added.

The Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry had earlier demanded that the awarding of the various responsibilities to different parties in connection with the GKSF should be done only after inviting tenders.
