‘Shikkari Shambu’, the laid back and cowardly hunter, was a quintessential character of the children’s book, Tinkle. A short film has been directed by youngster Rahul Lalu, with the name of the hunter as the title.

The plot revolves around the life of the protagonist, an engineering student, who faces certain adversities in life and the movie portrays how things falls in place for him gradually.

The 41-minute film is the second venture of Rahul Lalu. The film has Sree Vijay and Aiswarya Menon in the lead.

Cine artist Jagadish Prasad plays a key role. Editing is done by Appu Bhattathiri. The film is produced by Vijesh C V and Vinil Syam. Vaisakh cranks the camera and art direction is by Hari. Online promotion is by Qube Media and the poster design is by Bittermelon.
