KOLKATA: At a time when investigation into the Rs 15,000-crore Rose Valley scam has gathered pace after arrest of two Trinamool MPs, the statement of Saradha scam prime accused Kunal Ghosh was re-recorded by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday after grilling him for over 12 hours.
Sources revealed that the re-recording of the statement comes after the suspended Trinamool MLA Ghosh, in a long letter, had given 25 allegations with regard to the investigation after which Calcutta High Court ordered the CBI to look into the allegations and take necessary steps.
The suspended Trinamool MLA was grilled for over 12 hours after which his statement was re-recorded. Sources revealed that new links have been found by the CBI into the scam due to which the re-recording of statement after long interrogation may reveal more details about the scam.
