THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Recent works of noted artist Somji’s (K.A. Soman) will be on display at an exhibition to be held at Kerala Lalithakala Academy art gallery at Vyloppilli Samskrithi Bhavan here from April 6 to 12.

 The show titled ``Our concerns over time and space’  will be inaugrated by Cultural Affairs Minister M.A. Baby at 4.30 p m on Tuesday. Minister for Forests Binoy Viswam will preside over the function.

 Noted sculptor Kanayi Kunhiraman, Fine Arts College principal S. Ajayakumar and K. Bhaskar Rao (former art master, Sainik school, Kazhakoottam) will be among those who will attend the function.

 Somji said the major portion of the proceeds from the sale of the works would be donated to the Higher Education Fund of the Government.

 Somji’s works are noted for their depiction of the complex images of human mind in simple style and colour patterns. A native of Oachanthuruth in Kochi,  Somji had won Kerala Lalithakala Academy award and Stalions International Award.

 He had recently conducted exhibitions at Kozhikode, Bangalore, Chennai, Ernakulam and Thrissur.
