THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After a raging controversy, ‘Adimadhyantham’ directed by Sherry is finally going to be screened at the 16th International film Festival of Kerala.

The director on Monday morning staged a fast in front of the Kairali theatre demanding justice for his film. After holding discussions with directors, T V Chandran and Ranjith, Sherry agreed to screen his film at Sreekumar theatre at 3.15 pm on Tuesday.

Talking to ‘Express’ on the decision, director Sherry said: "This can never be taken as a victory of my struggle. The demands are yet to be fulfilled. The film is not being screened before a jury in the festival,’’ he said.

He said that both Ranjith and T V Chandran had expressed their support to him on the film issue and he was accepting their offer to screen the film. ‘Capitol Cinema’, run by Ranjith, had assured to release ‘Adimadhyantham'.

The film had been in the news since its exclusion from the 16th IFFK.

The first two Open Forums conducted on the sidelines of the festival were disrupted following disputes related to the  refusal to screen the film.
