The Board for Youth Work, the youth wing of the Church of South India (CSI), on Sunday observed the World AIDS Day by taking out rallies and conducting classes.
Delivering the AIDS Day message, CSI bishop A Dharmaraj Rasalam called upon the youth to take up the challenges in society.
Inaugurating the rally taken out as part of the observance, Youth Commission chairman R V Rajesh said that the Commission would come up with new programmes in association with various youth organisations in the state.
The rally taken out through the city streets culminated at the LMS compound.
KSACS joint director Jayasree inaugurated the function. Youth Work coordinator J W Prakash, D Lawrence, Rev T Selvarajan, Rev D Jacob and youth secretary G J Shyju addressed the gathering.
