Toonz planning celebrations

A session on ‘World of Animation Cinema’ will be held at Kesari Hall from 3 pm to 6 pm

Technopark-based Toonz Animation India will be celebrating Animation Day on coming Wednesday with a session on ‘World of Animation Cinema.’ The programme will be held at Kesari Memorial Hall, from 3 pm to 6 pm.

 The programme will have participation from noted  personalities like Prosenjit Ganguly, animation designer and screen-writer, and fastest performing cartoonist S Jithesh. Noted film director Anil Radhakrishna Menon of ‘North 24 Katham’ fame will be the chief guest and will inaugurate the Animation Day programme.

 Toonz chief creative officer Hari Varma will also be speaking on animation in this session. Advocate Jitheshji will conduct a session on drawing, titled ‘Varayarangu.’ Prosenjit Ganguly will deliver a talk on the world of animation cinema.

 The experts will provide insight on the art, techniques and latest trends in the world of animation film-making, where participants will be taken through the entire process, from  identifying a story line, to scripting, story board, drawing characters, animating them and lending audio effects.

 “International Animation Day was initiated by International Animated Film Association  (ASIFA), a member of UNESCO, and this day across the world is celebrated with screening  animation films, organising workshops, exhibiting artwork and stills, technical demonstrations and many other activities to promote the art of animation to the general public.

The world  of animation brings in human creativity in the most lovable and innovative form and we at Toonz, through this event, would like to salute the pioneers and stalwarts of animation,” said Toonz CEO P Jayakumar.
