‘Keralotsavam 2013’, the cultural fiesta organised by the Kerala State Youth Welfare Board in association with the Local Self Government institutions, will be inaugurated by Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan at Nandiyodu village panchayat stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday at 3.30 p m. Youth Affairs Minister P K Jayalakshmi will preside over the function. A Sampath MP will be the chief guest on the occasion.
As part of the festival, a cultural procession will be carried out from the SKV school Junction. Koliyakode Krishnan Nair MLA will present the award for the Keralotsavam logo. The award for best participation in the procession will be given away by Palode Ravi MLA.
In order to give an opportunity for youngsters and youth clubs who do not get a chance in school-college festivals, from this year onwards, Keralotsavam is being organised at panchayat-levels in connection with Onam celebrations to showcase their talent.
