THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 68-year-old man who was engaged in fishing from a rock near the sea went missing off Poonthura coast on Sunday morning, after he was swept away by high waves.
George, a native of Poonthura, is the missing person. The Poonthura police have registered a man missing case and began search operations. The incident occurred at 9 am while he was fishing from a seaside rock at Poonthura shore when strong waves swept him away. The search operations are on with the help from Coast Guard, Marine Enforcement and the coastal police.
