Open Air Auditorium Inaugurated

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  Cotton Hill Government LP School on Tuesday conducted the inauguration of the school’s newly constructed open air auditorium. The auditorium which has seating facilities for close to 900 students studying in the school was inaugurated by Shashi Tharoor MP.

The event was presided over by R Rajendran, chairman, SMC. Tharoor congratulated the efforts the school is taking in improving the facilities for students.

T A Jacob, faculty member, welcomed the gathering. Also present on the occasion were Syamala Warrier, Block Programme Officer, SSA Thiruvananthapuram South URC, Arun Chand, V-Five Builders, Priya N Musath, MPTA president and school headmistress M Celine along with other faculty members and students.

The school is celebrating its year-long platinum jubilee fete and has come up with initiatives to improve the facilities for the students. The school had inaugurated a smart classroom, a few months ago.

A steam kitchen was recently inaugurated while a lunch area for children is also being planned.
