Govt Selects KSHB for Public Works

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government has selected the Kerala State Housing Board(KSHB) as an accredited agency for executing public works up to Rs 400 crore.

“Of the 17 selected agencies, Housing Board was granted the top ceiling of Rs 400 crore. The Board is now conducting consultancy and deposit work worth Rs 500 crore,” KSHB chairman Arakkal Balakrishna Pillai has said.

Pillai said the board will be included as an implementing agency in the government’s “housing for all” project. The Board’s “Griha Sree” project for the underprivileged is a huge success, he said. The project involves housing for the socially and economically backward families who own at least two cents of land.

Pillai said the Board has given shape to 20 flat projects in different parts of the state.
