THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The employees of the dairy co-operatives will now draw more salary thanks to the Kerala Human Rights Commission which has intervened in the issue. The government has intimated the panel that they have received the recommendation for employees’ pay scale revision.
Acting on the instruction of the commission, the government has appointed a nine member committee with the director of diary development as the chairman.
The commission observed that dairy co-operatives that consist of 12,500 employees draw a minimal salary. Only those who meets the qualification stipulated in the Kerala Cooperative Societies Act are enrolled in the co-operatives. They draw a minimal salary- Rs 50 to Rs 100 as daily wage sans holidays and pension.
