THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:Ernakulam-based digital publishing group Valmeeki Publications in association with Sahithy Publications is organising the first round table conference for emerging writers on October 11, 3.45 pm at Hotel Regency, Thampanoor.
The aim of the event is to introduce aspiring writers to the field of digital media.
“ From printed books, everything is soon becoming digital. The event has been organised to introduce them to the concept of digital media, online publishing and e-books. Prominent writers would also address those present about the potential of online media,” said Anish Kumar of Valmeeki books.
The event will be inaugurated by K S Sabarinath MLA. Babu Paul will be the chief guest on the occasion. The conference will be attended by well-known writers from Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta and Kottayam. The conference is open to aspiring writers and others who are interested to attend. Valmeeki books had launched a mobile app, which publishes as well as sells e-books, a few months ago. The publishers are soon coming up with a new version of the app, which was compatible only with windows and android, which will support phones with an IOS operating system.
