Products developed by engineering college faculty to be launched

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Technological products developed by the faculty of various engineering colleges in the state during a recently-organised ‘Idea To Product’ workshop, are now ready for rollout.

The official launch of these products will be held at Federal Institute of Science & Technology (FISAT), Angamaly, Ernakulam, on October 22.

Prof A P Mittal, member secretary of AICTE, Kuncheria P Isaac, Vice-Chancellor, A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University, Ramesh U, AICTE Director for SWRO, Manpreet Singh Manna, AICTE Director for Administration and SWAYAM and Ajit Prabhu V Joint Director and Nodal Officer, Patent Information Centre, KSCSTE, will be present during the launch function.

The I2P (Idea To Product) Makers’ Workshop, which provided the platform for the faculty members, was organised by A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University, in association with FISAT from October 5 to 7.

“The workshop stirred the creativity within the teaching faculty and gave them an opportunity to come up with need-based products,” KTU Pro Vice-Chancellor M Abdul Rahman said.
