THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:As a child everyone would have tried drawing shapes resembling things they observe in real life. But giving ‘life’ to pictures that we drew was something magical to many. It was while watching cartoons, with awestruck eyes, that we saw the drawings moving. Donald and Mickey, the famous duck and mouse from the stable of Walt Disney, or a spinach powered Popeye, when they amused us we wanted to know how the toons managed to move and convey a story. The animation industry has come a long way since. It continues to inspire many curious minds to learn about animation.

City based Toonz Animation India which is also a top animation production house in the country is giving opportunity to youngsters to know what is happening inside a production studio.

The creative minds will get to know how green Gummy Bear dance and sing or ‘Smighties’ use their magical powers or ‘Fruit Ninjas’ destroy fruits, besides getting an opportunity to visit the world class studio there. Titled ‘Toonz Safari’, the programme is a career guidance event to be held at the Toonz Animation studio in Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram on April 27 and 28.

The event is aimed at guiding aspirants to an exciting career in the field of Media and Entertainment.

“We wanted to bring animation among the masses and make them understand what goes into producing the wonderful creations that they see on their televisions. A lot of planning, years of toil and creative team work culminate into a TV series, movie or a video game. Every show has an interesting story to tell and this is our earnest effort to bring the public closer to the art and profession of animation and entertainment,” said Toonz Animation CEO P Jayakumar.

Toonz Safari will be held in two batches: 10 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 4 pm on both days. It includes live demo, studio tour and interactive career guidance sessions by industry experts.
