Independence Day fete at Technopark

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Vivekananda Study Circle (VSC), a socio-cultural organisation of Technopark employees, will commemorate the 70th year of Independence and Rakshabandhan at Technopark on Wednesday.

The programme will be held from 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm at Travancore Hall, Park Centre. Shashi Tharoor MP will be the chief guest. He is slated to deliver a speech on ‘British Raj in India: An Era of Darkness’. The speech is in the context of Tharoor’s famous Oxford Union address, which went viral on the internet, and his latest book ‘An Era of Darkness’.

Director of Employment Sriram Venkitaraman  will be the guest speaker. Technopark CEO Hrishikesh Nair will preside over the function.
