THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The fourth edition of the Himalaya Rishi Sangama, a conclave of Himalayan sanyasins that is in progress at the Vyloppilly Sanskriti Bhavan here, is drawing a large number of the spiritually inclined.

The biennial conclave being organised under the aegis of the Sadhu Gopala Swamy Trust in Thiruvananthapuram,  which was started in 2011, has been already noted for the participation of a large number of Himalayan sanyasins and scholarly sanyasins from other parts of the country. This time, around 50 sanyasins - 30 from the Himalayas and the rest from other parts of India - are participating  in the event scheduled from December 5 to 10.

The highlight of the conclave are the classes being held on Isha, Kena, Kada and Mundaka Upanishads. Medhananda Swamiji, Sarvananda Swamiji and Haribrahmendra Swamiji are conducting the classes.
Sadhu Gopala Swamy Trust organising secretary Saju Kausik told Express that there was a huge response from the people.
