Rousing reception for Mata Amritanandamayi Math at Kaimanam

Hundreds of devotees gathered at the Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Kaimanam here, on Tuesday evening to receive their Amma.

She arrived here from Amritapuri in Kollam for the silver jubilee celebrations of the Brahmasthanam Temple on the premises of the Math.  Mata Amritanandamayi was accompanied by Swami Amritaswaroopananda Puri, Swamini Krishnamrita Prana, Swami Tureeyamritananda Puri, Swami Amrithananda Puri and Swami Ramakrishnananda Puri.

O Rajagopal MLA, chairman of the Amritolsava Committee, received Amma. Narayanan Nair offered ‘purna kumbham’ and Vishnu Bhaktan and family performed the ‘pada puja’ amidst the mass chanting of ‘Lalita Sahasranamarchana’ by devotees. Amritanandamayi later offered ‘mahaprasadam’ to devotees.
 At the Math, ‘satsangs’, ‘bhajans’ and meditation sessions will begin at 10 am on Wednesday, followed by ‘darshan’ which will continue till late night.  

At the Brahmasthanam temple, there will be ‘Ganapathy homam’ at 6 am and ‘Sri Bhuvaneswari pooja’ at 7 pm on all days. At 7 am and 10 am, there will be mass ‘rahu puja’ and ‘sakutumba navagraha homam’ on Wednesday and mass ‘sani puja’ and ‘mrityunjaya homam’ on Thursday.

The reception committee had O Rajagopal MLA as chairman and Rajasekharan Nair of Uday Samudra hotel as general secretary.  Amma will leave for Kanyakumari on Friday for cconsecrating theBharat Mata temple at Vivekananda Kendra.and dedicating it to the nation on Saturday.
