THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Scores of Congressmen and others paid their homage to K Karunakaran Pillai, UDF chairman of Kollam district UDF chairman, former state president and founder leader of Kerala NGO Association and serving president of Kerala State Service Pensioner’s Association, when the mortal remains were kept for a while at Indira Bhavan on Tuesday.
On behalf of the KPCC, general secretary Thampanoor Ravi placed a wreath on the body. Among those who offered their last respects to Karunakara Pillai, included Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala, former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, MLAs Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, K C Joseph, K Muraleedharan, Adoor Prakash, P T Thomas, V S Sivakumar, K S Sabareenathan and M Vincent, T’Puram DCC president Neyyattinkara Sanal, UDF district chairman Solomon Alex, former deputy Speaker Palode Ravi, former minister and CPM leader P K Gurudasan, CMP leader C P John among others.
