THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: PWD Minister G Sudhakaran has sought a report from the project director of National Highways Authority of India after complaints that removal of medians along Kazhakkoottam -Karode four-lane stretch was causing accidents.
Following the Minister’s intervention, the project director of NHAI informed the police and ensured deployment of traffic police personnel along the stretch.
The project director also informed the government that the median will be restored after four-laning of the stretch.
The officer informed the government that traffic signals needed to be relocated as part of widening work. He also said new signals have been set up at Chakai junction to ease the traffic congestion.
