Power supply to be hit in Kerala capital

Power supply to various areas in the city will be disrupted on Saturday due to maintenance works, the Kerala State Electricity Board said.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Power supply to various areas in the city will be disrupted on Saturday due to maintenance works, the Kerala State Electricity Board said.

Supply to various places in  Poojappura section limits will be hit from 9 am to 5 pm due to repairs on transformers. Supply to Kottapuram lane and Kalladimugham will be disrupted from 8 am to 5 pm as a new transformer is being erected in the section.

Supply to Thirumala junction, Puthenkada, Pallimukku, Arayalloor, Odamkuzhi and Koshakodu served by the Thirumala section will be disrupted from 8 am to 5 pm. Supply to Poralamkuzhi, Chitra Nagar and Infosys in the Puthenchantha section will be disrupted from 8 am to 4 pm.

Power supply to Kannannikonam, Pallithara, Mukkola, Mullassery and Karipukonam in the Peroorkada section limits will be disrupted from May 22 to May 27 on account of the construction of the Pothencode-Kattakada 220 kV transmission line.
