THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Jishnu Pranoy’s father K P Ashokan called on state police chief T P Senkumar on Wednesday seeking the latter’s immediate intervention to ensure justice in the case pertaining to the death of his son at the hostel of Nehru college of Engineering and Research centre at Pampady in Thrissur district. Ashokan was accompanied by his friend from his native place in Kozhikode. They met the DGP at 10 am.

He handed over a written complaint to the DGP seeking action against the culprits.    In the complaint, Ashokan said justice is still a distant dream for his family as no major developments happened in the police investigation even after six months passed since Jishnu’s death.

The culprits had influenced the investigators in the initial stage and the whole case has been diluted. The police are trying to portray Jishnu’s death as a suicide,” he said.  He sought action against the police officers who were involved in attacking Mahija and others during the protest in front of the police headquarters last month.
